I emailed to cancel the books sent out . I ordered Readers Digest not the books.

How do I get them to stop . I am not paying for them I did not order them!!

Wondering where the book is that I ordered 2 months ago. Holidays and celebrations through the years.

When will I get it?

Will also be receiving a free gift. I already paid for it so wondering when I’ll be getting it in the mail?

Greetings I am Tom Taylor, an 80-year-old, widely published author. I have a 733-word real-life prose story that I’ve long believed would be an excellent fit for Reader’s Digest readers who are animal lovers.

I am commonly published under my three-word pen name: “The Poet Spiel.” See my website thepoetspiel. name (At the end of this note, I have listed previous publishers, largely legitimate small press journals. And yes, I also write prose.) Though I have studied your submission guidelines, I have been unable to determine which category I should submit it to. In the early 1970s, I was the sole caretaker/resident of a 500-acre cattle ranch in far northern California.

The first day on my job, I found a red hen at the front door of my cabin who seemed to relate to me more than she related to the other chickens--like she had awaited a savior. I developed a tender relationship with her constantly at my side. My cattle dog also became attached to her, played with her, and nuzzled with her by my wood cookstove. Somehow, she pecked *** in her corn-filled craw then made a habit of pecking her food a second time through her opened feed store.

She was unselfish, allowing my dog to feast there as well. Responsible for all living things on this ranch, I dedicated my efforts to heal the open gap with paper surgeon’s tape but when my efforts failed, I determined that the most humane solution was to put her down. The conclusion to my story and the reason it is titled “Food Chain” is stunning. When I recently delivered it live to an audience of 90 attentive guests, the room was swept with loving and tender tears.

Of course, I’d prefer that you could read the story in my best writing. Please recommend how I should submit this for RD consideration.
